The PMI Index of October shows a couple of interesting items:

New Orders are almost 7 points down while Backlogs are getting better.

Imports have slowed by ~6% and overall Pricing still keeps going up.
According to ARM Holding CEO Simon Segars, the global semiconductor shortage will probably last until the end of 2022. Lead times keep stretching, with many now beyond 52 weeks. Contact NPA if you need supply solutions.

Some more local news, Naprotek announced the acquisition of NH-based SemiGen, an RF technology contract manufacturer, in order to expand its reach across the United States.

Desktop Metal opened a new in-house manufacturing facility to triple its manufacturing capacity for Production System P-50. Great to see local Massachusetts manufacturing!
