The late December flood in Malaysia continues to impact the global electronics supply chains.
NDK, a quartz crystal producer, suspended production at two of its Malaysian plants in late December and announced that it expects to resume production again in April 2022.
Panasonic’s factory has meanwhile resumed normal operations but expects some continued delays as material suppliers are still in recovery mode.
Renesas, Nexperia, On Semi, Taiyo Yuden and, Nichicon all report that operations are back to normal, though some delays will remain.
General electronics lead times remain very long. Some OEMs keep extending their lead times, with several having their bookings filled for 2022 and partly through 2023.
